YAŞAR UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL ART AND DESIGN SYMPOSIUM

This event, which is coordinated by Yaşar University, Faculty of Art and Design, expects this organization to be an annual event and brings intellectual and talented artists with different nationalities together and creating art and design objects, with the aid of various cultural backgrounds and high level of knowledge regarding the artists’ field of interest. This symposium also leads the transfer of information and experience between colleagues, creating and improving the awareness on young artists by observing other cultures and manners, but also forming strong friendships as well.

The artworks which are created / designed during this symposium, which is planned to last around for 10 days, are presented in the university’s exhibition hall with a catalogue due to the schedule of the hall. The attending artists are expected to donate a minimum of two of their artworks which they will have created during the symposium and have taken place in the exhibition, to Yaşar University, Art and Design Faculty – Art Collection.

With this event, a new vision on occupational and artistic changes are being delivered to the young attendants / audience artists on an international platform and new opportunities may appear with the provided network.

Innovative applications and philosophies are being transferred to other artists and students through the fast development of new material and techniques. At the same time, during symposium, attendant artists and designers have an exchange of ideas through presentations, forums and talk sessions. Therefore, in modern art activities, both artist candidates and art audiences have an opportunity to unite and interact.
